Limerick City and County Council in consultation with Transport Infrastructure Ireland are working to progress the Foynes to Limerick Road Improvement Scheme.
The 300m wide preferred Route Corridor (Orange) was announced in December 2015 and the Route Selection Report was published in June 2016. Environmental and Engineering surveys have been progressing and Ground Investigation works are scheduled to commence shortly.
Work has also been progressing to identify a provisional 100m wide corridor within which the final road alignment for this scheme is likely to be developed. The provisional 100m wide corridor lies predominantly within the 300m wide preferred Route Corridor (Orange).
Provisional junction locations have also been identified and are shown as shaded areas. The junction layouts are yet to be decided and are likely to be developed within these areas. Click here for further details
