Limerick City and County Council, in consultation with Transport Infrastructure Ireland, are working to progress the Foynes to Limerick Road Improvement Scheme.

At the Design Update in September 2016, a provisional 100m wide corridor and provisional junction locations were published.

Design of the final alignment of this scheme is progressing.  As a result of this work, together with feedback received from the public on the September 2016 Design Update, a number of corridor options are currently being considered between Blossomhill and Ballycannon.
